Social Club

A non-therapy atmosphere providing recreational and social interaction for individuals who have a mental illness.

Depression Screenings

A tool used to indicate whether you have symptoms consistent with depression. Up-to date Information about possible causes and treatments are provided.

Family Programs

Preservation of the family unit through appropriate expectations and alternatives to physical and/or emotional abuse. This service is free of charge and open to the public.

Gift Lift

Provides Christmas gifts to over 440 individuals in Delaware County who might not otherwise receive a holiday gift.

Information & Referral

Offers free information on mental illness, mental health and the location of counseling and other community services.

Ombudsman Program

Working with consumers, families and providers for solutions in appropriate treatment and empowerment to peoples with a mental illness.

Miscellaneous

Public Awareness, I'm Thumbody Program and health fairs.

I'm Thumbody

A self-esteem program for young children. MHA staff members and volunteers go into area schools and present the program that teaches individuality. If you have any spare time and like working with children, please come and volunteer a couple hours for this wonderful cause.

MHA Mission Still The Same

To promote or provide services or programs to meet the needs of individuals suffering from mental illness, to improve mental health and to reduce conditions which impede the attainment of mental health.

To advocate for the general public and private sector policies, services, facilities and financing which provide adequate and appropriate detection, treatment, cure and prevention programs.

To stimulate and support research into causes, treatment, cure and prevention of mental illness and the promotion of good mental health.

To educate the general public about mental illness and about mental health. To promote and provide education/prevention programs that preserve and strengthen the mental health of families and children.
